She holds a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Universidade de São Paulo, along with a post-graduate certificate in Education rooted in the study of moral and ethical development in childhood, providing a strong foundation for her work in the children's book industry.

Watercolor is her primary medium. With a career of more than 15 years, Marcia has illustrated more than 20 books and provided extensive illustrations for educational materials, telling heartfelt stories about family, relationships, culture, and the natural world.

Several of her titles have been selected for Brazilian literacy initiatives, such as the nationwide distribution in public schools via the Brazilian National Literary Program (PNLD Literário). Recent selections include Luzia, mulher coragem, O jardim de Yuki, and Sou de verdade, as well as Assustar!, which she both wrote and illustrated.

Her picture book Saudade de Caqui, another project she both authored and illustrated, was awarded a prestigious literary creation grant from ProAC (São Paulo State Cultural Action Program).
